This painting was resurrected from my discarded pile. I originally hated the hair and decided to just paint the entire background black. But, then that looked too weird so I decided to draw in the hair with graphite pencil. I actually love how it turned out. She's off to a new home, and I will miss her.

Listen...your dreams are calling

sometimes we need to be still and listen. hear what our heart is trying to tell us, even when we don't want to. it's to hard, and i want easy.
every night i give up on this art business. my negative thoughts creep. so n so is so much better than me. so n so sold sooo much more than i did. so n so has so many followers. but, when i sit and listen, i know i should keep going at this "art" thing.  i know i should keep doing what brings me such joy.
