Harold- The Candy Bandit

Harold is up to his old tricks again. Every Halloween he's on the prowl trying to steal candy.

Harold measures approx. 10 inches tall by 4 inches wide.

The cracks in his face show you just how many years he's been up to his tricks

He has tiny painted shoes and has been filled with love and new polyfil.

Happy Birthday To Me.....

My birthday was this weekend, and it was the most amazing birthday ever. My husband surprised me with flowers, dinner, my favorite cake, and a personal shopper. Basically, I had my own episode of "What NOT To Wear", without the whole world watching (thank goodness).

On Saturday, an old friend (a buddy I met in Boot Camp ...yes I said Boot Camp) came by and we made dolls all day. Clay dolls, cloth dolls, softies, etc. What we planned on doing for only 2 hours, turned into an all day event. I will post pictures tomorrow.

Hope you all had a positive weekend.

Act on Your Dreams Today

On a day when I was feeling extremely discouraged, I received an email with this quote:

"Write the vision [dream] and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it."
(Habakkuk 2:2, NKJV)

Have a vision for yourself and proclaim it. Don't get down when things don't happen over night. My Mother used to always say, "It takes nine months to have a baby". What she meant is that anything worth having takes time.

Be encouraged today to stick with your dreams.

Tomorrow I Will Start Flying 2

This sweet little girl is named Anjulie, and even though she has wings that will take her anywhere, she'd rather put it off until tomorrow.

This print will be available in my Etsy store tomorrow. I hope you like her.

For Everything There Is A Season.....

The Bible says, "For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven"

BUT

I was not prepared for all my ducklings to be gone at the same time.

In about a week, my four boys (ages 4-14) will all start school. Four brand news schools. They have their new backpacks and shiny school supplies. They're ready to make new friends and learn the ropes in this new town. We've got the schedules memorized. Who gets dropped off 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and last. All systems are go....EXCEPT of course my heart.

To say that I am not ready is an understatement.

I am the Little Engine That Could. I keep telling myself.."I think I can, I think I can".
